1| Which nonprofit are you passionate about serving? Emergency Infant Services (EIS)
History: (EIS) helps with basic needs for children five and under whose families are facing financial and/or personal hardship. The organization’s top priority is providing accessible, immediate help because a hungry child cannot wait. Click here for more information
2| What motivates you to give back to the community?
Serving is such a rewarding experience both for the server and the served! There’s no greater feeling than giving back, knowing that someone in your community is deeply dependent on you.
3| What do you do when you volunteer?
EIS offers basic needs items like diapers, wipes, formula, food, clothing and other essentials. Most of our time is spent stocking items, unloading pallets, or putting together meal kits for later distribution. It takes an entire task force of volunteers to ensure that everything runs smoothly.
4| What would you say to someone who’s thinking of volunteering?
Find an organization or mission that aligns with something you’re passionate about and inquire how you can help; charities and non-profit organizations across the country are eager for help.
