Later today, the minutes from the most recent Federal Reserve meeting are set to be released. It will be important to see if the discussion at the meeting considered a faster pace of rate increases than previously announced, given the most recent readings on inflation and average hourly earnings. Interest rates have climbed higher, with the 10 year U.S. Treasury at 2.9%, and the equity markets have noticed. The Federal Reserve continues to walk a fine line between increasing rates at a gradual pace and not risking overheating the economy in the months ahead. In all, equity futures are higher this morning heading into the market open.
