CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas, April 2, 2018 – The Trust Company (TTC) announced today that it is rebranding as Argent Trust Company, joining a network of 28 Argent offices spread across 12 Southern states.
The Trust Company, founded in 1997, has offices in Corpus Christi and San Antonio, with a total of 15 employees. In 2013, The Trust Company became a division of Argent Financial Group, the leading independent wealth management firm in the South, which advises clients in a fiduciary capacity by managing trusts, estates and other investments.
“This change will give us additional resources for marketing and more capability to serve our clients,” said James Pettus, senior vice president of the Corpus Christi office. “One thing that isn’t changing is the direct, one-on-one relationships with our clients that they have come to expect. They’ll still be able to walk into the office and see who their trust officer is.”
“At The Trust Company, we’ve done certain things really well,” said Sam Boldrick, chief investment officer. “The folks at Argent Trust had strength and experience in some areas where we believed we could gain some leverage for our clients. Right off the bat, we knew that combining our resources would create a great platform.”
Argent Trust Company is rapidly expanding its presence in Texas. The company recently opened offices in Fort Worth, Austin and Dallas, and also has a location in Beaumont.
